My Comment :

After watching so many Korean medical dramas such as Surgeon Bong Dal Hee, New Heart, White Tower, I watched this one with less enthusiast. That’s because there is nothing really new in the storyline. Not to mention that, the field where the doctors work in these dramas are also pretty much the same , either general surgeon or heart surgeon. How I wish the maker of Korean medical dramas try to explore other fields, neurosurgeon or psychiatry for instance.

Anyway, I still find General Hospital 2 is enjoyable though. At least, the actors are good as well as the OST. I like the chemistry between Kim Jung Eun and Ryu Jin here.

Ha Yoon, the character played by Kim Jung Eun, always believed that her dad died because of malpractice, however, she had never got the clear explanation from the doctors and hospital who treated her dad nor that she had any proof to bring them to court. This is the reason why after becoming a lawyer, she continued to medical school in the hope to become a medical malpractice litigation specialist . This also meant that she would go against the people who worked in medical field in the future. However, as she worked as a doctor, her view on doctors slowly changed. Since being a doctor herself, she could see and experienced the difficult situation that doctors often have to deal with when trying to save the patients. When her colleagues accidentally found out about her original purpose there, they felt betrayed and angry with her. While Ha Yoon was actually started to be in doubt either to continue as a doctor or follow her original plan since she started to love her profession as a doctor as well.

Baek Hyun Woo, the character played by Ryu Jin, had a crush on Ha Yoon since the first time he met her. He was always very supportive towards Ha Yoon. However, there was time when he was jealous to see Ha Yoon was very close with Jin Sang. He even misunderstood them before he knew about Ha Yoon’s real feeling.

At first, I did not really like Jin Sang, the character played by Cha Tae Hyun. It was because I thought he was so childish, too clumsy and careless to become a doctor. He is not as bright as Ha Yoon and Hyun Woo. He often made mistakes and sometimes could be very stubborn. However, he also had his strength though. He could easily understand the feeling of the patients and got close to them. Something that Ha Yoon and Hyun Woo lack of. Luckily at the end he changed to become good doctor.
